What is a diet?
Diet is a food which is consumed by all living beings to sustain, which provides energy to do all day to day activities. Generally, there is a misconception about diet, not eating anything all day long is considered as a diet by most of the people. They are very wrong and empty stomach will lead to diseases such as acidity etc. A diet consists of two types high-calorie diet and a low-calorie diet.
A high-calorie diet is followed by people who want to grow muscles while body building or to accumulate some good fats. A low-calorie diet is used by the people who wants to reduce the fat content in their body by reducing sugar intake and consumption of fewer carbohydrates.
What is alcohol?
Alcohol or liquor is a distilled drink made from vegetables, fruits, and barley. But that does not mean that consumption of alcohol is good for health or it benefits the digestive system. Alcohols are various types and each has their own properties. In general, alcohols are classified as Beer, Whisky, Rum, Brandy, and Vodka. The percentage of alcohol content depends from drink to drink and anything less than 20% is considered as a spirit. Previously alcohols were consumed to prevent pain and protect themselves from the cold climate. Nowadays, alcohol is consumed to get high and to lose their consciousness.
Diet and Drink?
Regular food habits are categorized as 3 meals a day, morning, noon and dawn respectively.
Healthy food habits will maintain a good health and digestive system. In western countries, people often consume alcoholic beverages to keep themselves warm but their eating habits are very unhealthy, resulting in disorders. Precisely, diet and drink can’t be mixed together as it creates a lot of imbalance in the digestive system. It is not preferable to eat junk if a person is an often consumer of alcoholic beverages. Mixing up those two will lead to dis-functioning of internal organs, liver in particular. Apart from liver it also affects heart on long term consumption.
Some of the essential foods which can help after boozing.
By consuming natural drink like coconut water, it will rehydrate and restore required electrolytes which are lost after consumption of alcoholic beverages. A good glass of coconut water will do for boozers.
Juices are gentle to the human body which detoxifies liver after a heavy boozing session. As they are easily digestible, all the nutrients are absorbed into bloodstream flawlessly.
Apple cider vinegar:
Apple cider vinegar is a miraculous agent which helps to balance the pH levels of body, which are vanished by alcohol. Mixing apple cider vinegar with water, ginger and raw honey will give good taste.
Bananas are rich in potassium and very helpful for the digestive system. They contain rich amounts of fiber which replenish depleted stores of a body.
Eggs contain taurine and cysteine which breaks down the toxins caused by alcohols and protect against liver diseases.
Chicken also has cysteine which helps the liver to function appropriately. It helps to rehydrate the body and to restore sodium measures. But, healthy raised chickens should only be used while preparing the chicken stock.
Tomatoes have lycopene which reduces inflammation in the body after a serious booze night.
Oats can give a much-awaited boost after heavy pegs. It regenerates magnesium and vitamin B, which generally get depleted by the alcohol.
