      Hi Dagem, Sleeping for a short while can make you more alert and energetic and also are less likely to interfere with nighttime sleep as care should be taken that naps are not prolonged more than 30-45 minutes.

    Is 90 min nap in afternoon between 2.30 pm to 4 pm is good or bad? Does it affect night time quality of sleep?

      Hi Amol I would suggest that a power nap in the afternoon is ideal which should not be more than 10-15 min which will make you feel all energetic and fresh, But again the requirement of sleep for a child who is less then 12 years and adults more then 70 years will be different

      HI Banya, It is nothing harm in taking an afternoon nap but it should not exceed 45 min the only reason is if you sleep more time in afternoon, you will not be able to sleep on time in the night and which slow down your metabolism

    I always sleep in the afternoon when I’m free.
    But whenever I wake up I feel this unusual pains at my joints, I breath fast and even my brain and abdomen will be paining me slightly….
    after taking a shower I will feel a liltle okay but weak…
    I don’t think is normal so what’s all this about

      Hi Rejoice at times your posture matters the way you are sleeping can create pain and hence be careful about the same and afternoon sleep if in excess can also leads to body pain and hence sleep only if needed and 30 min should be enough

      morning jogging if you are 40- or walking naked leg is solution to whatever helath problem you have and then u dont have to think too much if this or that yes take consedaration that 80% of the time u eat home cooked food and seasonal fruits and vegetables because that have pesticide spread on

      Hi Moshood as mentioned in the article if you are unable to get a 7-8 hrs of sleep in night and then you sleeping in afternoon it is a heathy practice but then if your afternoon sleep is in addition to your night 8 hrs sleep then it can cause lethargy in your body
